How to recover your saved password on your browser?

We have updated the main URL of our web application from rms.roomraccoon.com to app.roomraccoon.com. While rms.roomraccoon.com will automatically redirect to the new URL, some users may experience issues with their browser's autofill feature not populating login credentials due to the URL change. This primarily affects users who rely on their browser or iCloud Keychain to remember passwords and may not recall them manually.


Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Please note that any Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings you have configured will continue to function as before and do not require any reconfiguration due to this URL change.


Recovering Saved Passwords in Common Web Browsers:

If your browser isn't autofilling your password for app.roomraccoon.com, you can manually retrieve your saved password by following the steps below for your respective browser:


Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner.

  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. In the left-hand menu, click on "Autofill and passwords," then select "Password Manager."

  4. Under "Saved Passwords," locate the entry for rms.roomraccoon.com.

  5. Click the eye icon next to the password field to reveal your password. You may be prompted to enter your computer's password to proceed.

Safari (macOS):

  1. Open Safari and click on "Safari" in the top menu bar, then select "Preferences."

  2. Navigate to the "Passwords" tab.

  3. Authenticate using Touch ID or your Mac's password.

  4. Find the entry for rms.roomraccoon.com and click on it to view the saved password.

Safari (iOS):

  1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Scroll down and tap on "Passwords."

  3. Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.

  4. Locate rms.roomraccoon.com in the list and tap on it to view the saved password.

  2. Select "Passwords" from the menu.

  3. In the "Logins & Passwords" page, find the entry for rms.roomraccoon.com.

  4. Click on the eye icon next to the password to reveal it. You may need to enter your device's password to proceed.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Edge and click on the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner.

  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on "Passwords."

  4. Under "Saved passwords," locate the entry for rms.roomraccoon.com.

  5. Click the eye icon to view the saved password. You may be prompted to enter your device's password to proceed.


Updating Your Saved Password:

After retrieving your password, it's advisable to update the saved entry to the new URL to ensure seamless autofill functionality in the future:

  1. Navigate to app.roomraccoon.com in your browser.

  2. Enter your login credentials manually.

  3. When prompted by your browser to save the new password, confirm the action.

  4. Alternatively, you can manually add or edit the saved password entry in your browser's password manager, changing the URL from rms.roomraccoon.com to app.roomraccoon.com.


Resetting Your Password:

If you're unable to retrieve your password using the methods above, you can reset it by following these steps:

  1. Go to the login page at app.roomraccoon.com.

  2. Click on the "Forgot Password?" link.

  3. Enter your registered email address and follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.
