Passwords

What are the different password options in my RoomRaccoon account?

In RoomRaccoon you have two password options; the general password, and the individual user passwords.

The general password is the administrator password which gives one full control and access to all RoomRaccoon settings. The individual employee passwords allow logins per person. Find out more about the different login levels here

My employee forgot their password. What now?

Make sure you are logged in as a manager.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Logins

  2. Find the employee in the login list

  3. Click on the envelope icon > this will send a new password to the email address of the employee.

I forgot the general password to my RoomRaccoon account?

Please use the ‘Forgot password’ option on the login screen. If this fails, please reach out to our Customer Support team to help you regain access to your account.

How to change the general login password?

Please note: this can only be done if you login by using the primary email address (usually the same as your billing or the initial email that was used to create your RoomRaccoon account).

  1. Navigate to Settings > Logins

  1. Fill in the new password in the ‘manager password’ field > Submit.

  2. You will now have successfully changed the password.

Logins

How can I give my reception team access to the system without using my main login?

You can give your team their own personal login with their email address by creating individual user logins. To read more about creating them, please read here

There are different levels, which give access to different parts of the system. Refer to this article for more information.

Can I create individual user accounts with limited permissions (e.g. only access to reservations)?

Yes, you can. RoomRaccoon allows you to create user accounts with custom permission levels. For example, you can set up a Junior Front Desk user who only has access to reservations but cannot view financials or make administrative changes.

There are several user roles available, each with different access rights, so you can control exactly what each team member can see and do within the system.

I get an error when trying to add a new employee login; what should I do?

It could be that you have reached the maximum number of users. This depends on your subscription

Is it possible to reuse the same email address for multiple logins?

No, it is not. The system creates a unique login by using the email address.

What’s the best way to create a shared login for reception staff?

We recommend you use a general email address which they have access to, like for example reservations@yourhotel.com or frontoffice@yourhotel.com. Please remember, if you create a login for your reception, this should not be the same as for your main account.
