Integrate your MplusKassa POS system with RoomRaccoon to seamlessly track both guest and non-guest revenue streams. This guide explains how the integration works and the difference between RoomRaccoon’s POS Report and External Revenue Report—ensuring complete financial visibility across your property.
To request the MplusKassa integration, navigate to the Marketplace module within your RoomRaccoon platform. Under the POS category, search for MplusKassa and click the “+” icon next to it. This will automatically generate a support ticket, and one of our RoomRaccoon account managers will be in touch shortly to guide you through the next steps.
Overview of POS Integration
RoomRaccoon allows you to connect POS systems like MplusKassa, enabling:
Direct charging of bar/restaurant items to guest rooms.
Automated syncing of all POS revenue into RoomRaccoon reports.
Categorized revenue through mapped ledgers.
What revenue data does RoomRaccoon capture?
RoomRaccoon receives both:
Revenue charged to guest rooms, and
Standalone sales to non-guests (e.g., walk-ins at your bar or restaurant)
Available revenue reports for MplusKassa integration
RoomRaccoon supports two main reports for POS integrations like MplusKassa:
1. POS Report
To find the POS report, navigate to “Reports” module, click “Revenue” tab and select the “POS” report sheet.
Captures all transactions charged to guest rooms
Updated in real time when an item is posted to a reservation
Useful for front desk and billing staff
2. External Revenue Report
To find the External report, navigate to “Reports” module, click “Revenue” tab and select the “External Revenue” report sheet.
Captures walk-in revenue or non-guest purchases
Updated after MplusKassa daily close (Z-report)
Ideal for accounting and revenue audits
Together, these reports offer a complete view of your property’s revenue—from guests and non-guests alike.
How to adjust the POS "closing revenue" time
By default, RoomRaccoon attributes revenue to the day until 00:00 (midnight). However, if your outlets operate late (e.g., until 2:00 AM), you can customise the cut-off time.
Example:
If the cut-off time is set to 2:00 AM:
A 1:30 AM sale on June 3 is recorded as June 2’s revenue.
This ensures more accurate daily totals and aligns with hospitality operational hours.
How to adjust your “closing revenue” time
To adjust your POS “closing revenue” time in RoomRaccoon:
Navigate to “Settings”
Click on the tab “Account”
Scroll down to the block labelled “Closing Revenue”
Provide the desired cut-off time (e.g., 2:00 AM).
Best Practices
Always link in-house guest charges to their room in the POS.
If your property has an accounting system connection, notify MplusKassa to avoid duplicate revenue entries.
To reverse an incorrect charge, use a negative charge in the add-ons section, then repost the charge correctly.
Educate accounting teams to understand that:
POS Report = Guest-related revenue
External Revenue Report = Non-guest revenue
Both should be used together for full financial reconciliation.
Requirements for MplusKassa Integration
