Our latest RoomRaccoon release offers improved and innovative ways to empower your daily operations through automation. We are proud to introduce our new features and improvements which we have designed to make your life easier and give your guests an unforgettable experience.

What’s New

Automation of VCC

Auto-charge for VCC is only active for RaccoonPay users

• All reservations that have a virtual credit card will now be charged automatically on the date the card becomes effective. RaccoonPay will re-import the reservation before charging the card to ensure that room prices and add-ons are appropriately updated.

• Similar to the credit card refund button, RaccoonPay now enables the option to refund virtual credit cards. When a booking is cancelled or you simply want to refund your guests for unused services, RaccoonPay will top up the card again.

• With Smart-Flex reservations, when a virtual credit card is presented to be charged on the effective date and the booker cancels, RaccoonPay will not automatically charge the customers' credit card that was imported to the reservation. All regular credit cards will never be charged automatically.

General System Enhancements

• To streamline updates on rates and availability you will now get a prompt from RoomRaccoon after 5 individual rate updates to create a bulk update on your rates and availability. The bulk update allows you to automate a number of actions in your rates and availability all at once as opposed to a monotonous individual entry with a limit.

Improvements and Resolved Issues

Connectivity

• Resolved: Incorrect amount added to the were pulled from promotions in group reservations.

• The double charge on the cancellation fee has been resolved for Booking.com

• Agoda fallback email has been implemented in order to prevent assuming previous guests as bookers.

Payments

• Credit Card Vault: Fully operational when you enter the password in the booker profile, the card details will be visible.

• RaccoonPay: When there is no balance on the virtual credit card, it won’t be visible in the reservation.

• Peach: RoomRaccoon optimised the frictionless flow for 3D Secure payments.

• RaccoonPay: The card will be available to be charged Only on the day the virtual credit card becomes effective.

• RacoonPay: The actual balance left on the virtual credit card will be visible until the card is fully charged, even when the total due amount is less or equal to zero.

• Virtual Credit Card: Virtual credit card expiry date has been extended to make sure you can still charge the card months after the effective date.

PMS & Other

• Price type now redirects you to the rate type list.

• Calculation adjustment to ensure that the gross and nett amounts are displayed and match with other reports.

• Add-on translation added in the invoice and proforma invoice.

• Add-ons are included in the prepayment and you can now select one of 3 options under the booking engine tab to manage add-ons and city tax in the rates.
