What Is a Fallback Language

Modified on Mon, 20 Feb, 2023 at 9:30 AM

A fallback language is the language used if the guest language is unknown. This essentially serves as a fallback or default language should the guest not select their desired language of communication.

You can set up your fallback language on account settings on the email settings section.

How to setup your fallback language

  1. Click on Settings on the bottom left of your screen.

  1. Scroll down to email settings

  1. Choose your fallback language

Good to know

  • We recommend you to use English as a fallback language given that it is a universal language and the most spoken language in the world.

  • You can make the language field mandatory in the online check-in so that you always know your guests' language. For more on setting up mandatory guest fields in the online check-in, click here.
