Using RoomRaccoon on a Mobile Device

Modified on Thu, 16 Nov 2023 at 10:48 AM

At present, our app is exclusively compatible with iOS devices. However, the exciting news is that our web version has been designed to seamlessly operate in its mobile version. This means you have the option to create your own direct shortcut to our RoomRaccoon (RR) page on your smartphone's home screen.

Here are the steps to create a direct shortcut on your phone's home screen:

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the instructions may vary slightly depending on the make and model of your smartphone. Be sure to double-check your specific device's instructions for creating shortcuts on the home screen.

Step 1: Unlock your phone

Step 2: Open your mobile web browser: Launch your preferred mobile web browser, such as Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android

Step 3: Navigate to the RR page: https://rms.roomraccoon.com

Step 4: After the RR page loads, look for the browsers options or settings menu, typically represented by a three-dot or similar icon located in the top-right corner of the browser's interface.

Step 5: Select 'Add to Home Screen': From the dropdown menu that appears after tapping the options icon, find and select the option labeled 'Add to Home Screen' or something similar. The wording may vary depending on the browser you're using.

Step 6: Customize the shortcut name: A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to customize the name of the shortcut. You can enter a name that clearly represents the RR page, making it easy to identify. (eg. RR Calendar)

Step 7: After customizing the name, tap the 'Add' or 'Add to Home' button in the pop-up window.

A new shortcut icon for the RR page will be created on your phone's home screen. You can move this shortcut to a convenient location by pressing and holding it, then dragging it to the desired spot on the home screen.

To access the RR page directly, simply tap the newly created shortcut icon on your home screen. This will open your browser and take you directly to the website page without the need to open the browser separately.
