How to fix documents not being delivered to Booking.com?

Modified on Wed, 30 Oct at 4:26 PM

What happened and why is this needed?

In May, Booking implemented new security measures in which automatic messages cannot contain links or mobile phone numbers. If the client wants to maintain a link, it must be approved in the security settings.

Therefore, our customers would need to whitelist the email addresses and the links that are being used to send the information to the guest.

How to do this?

1. Go to Booking.com extranet and login

2. Click on the Property dropdown section.

3. Click on Messaging preferences

4. You need to go to security settings and click on add email address.

Here, you would whitelist the email used from RoomRaccoon, which is noreply@roomraccoon.com

5. You would click on add a link and here you would add all the links that you possibly added and:

- Online check-in link (if you have added it in the pre-arrival documents)

- Payment request link (if you have RaccoonPay enabled)

6. Done!

Which links you should add?

1. Any links that you have in your documents that you manually added.

2. Your Booking Engine link.

3. Online check-in link.

4. Payment request link.

How to find your Booking Engine link?

1. Click on the Booking Engine module in RoomRaccoon

2. Scroll all the way down and click on the Book button

3. The URL you see is the URL of the Booking Engine. We would advise removing the /EN/ part so you can whitelist it completely.

How to whitelist your online check-in link?

1. With that last URL you got from the Booking Engine module, example: https://booking.roomraccoon.com/albatros/en/ you will add /online-checkin/ in the end so it will look like this:

https://booking.roomraccoon.com/albatros/en/online-checkin/

2. Paste that URL in the message preferences settings of Booking.com and you're done.

How to whitelist your online payment request link?

1. With that last URL you got from the Booking Engine module, example: https://booking.roomraccoon.com/albatros/en/ you will add /online-payment/ in the end so it will look like this: https://booking.roomraccoon.com/albatros/en/online-payment/

2. Paste that URL in the message preferences settings of Booking.com and you're done.
