Partial Invoicing for Group Bookings

We have created partial invoicing for larger properties that deal with group bookings. When building Room Allotment, you may wish to deliver guests or bookers a partial charge or make a partial invoice. Partial invoicing allows you to go into the allotted reservations and charge a percentage of the full amount.

Previously, we have allowed you to adjust or override the invoice price of rooms and add-on charges individually. Although this works for smaller or individual bookings when it comes to larger group bookings (as in the case of Room Allotment bookings), it becomes tedious to do item by item for down payments, etc.

Therefore we have enabled the functionality for you to execute a partial invoice by applying a percentage change over the whole reservation invoice (rooms and add-ons included).

Note: You can still go into individual line items and override the percentage or amount charges if you do not wish for something to be partitioned.

Issuing a partial invoice shouldn’t take much time, especially when you are dealing with a large group booking and have to issue multiple partial invoices quickly. Making percentage changes individually results in mistakes when you forget to adjust the invoice for a particular line item. Using an integrative functionality to adjust the percentage of the invoice requested makes issuing partial invoices faster and reduces errors for the hotelier.
