How to Remove a Derived Rate

Modified on Wed, 18 Jan, 2023 at 4:42 PM

Derived rates are adjustments to your existing room rates or base rates. You calculate derived rates by adding or subtracting a certain amount from the existing room rate or base rate.

For example, if you advertise a standard room on your property with no breakfast and the guest decides to include breakfast, that additional amount could be added as a  derived rate.

How To Remove a Derived Rate

Step 1: Access the "My Property Module" on the left of your screen.

Step 2: Below the “Categories Tab,” click on the derived rate you want to remove from the selected room category.

Note: All rates derived from the base rate will be a lighter shade of grey to help you identify them.

Step 3: Within the category, you selected, click on the "Derived from" field.

Step 4: In the drop-down menu, select “None” to remove any derived rates.

Step 5: Click the Save button to save any changes you made to your derived rates.
