How to Resolve Channel Manager Errors

Modified on Mon, 14 Nov, 2022 at 10:33 AM

RoomRaccoon continuously monitors functionality so that potential problems can be identified and resolved immediately. However, there are also some error messages that require action by the hotelier. Here are a few error messages you may receive.

Channel Manager errors occur when RoomRaccoon sends or pushes availability for bookings to external channels and the push is unsuccessful. When this happens it’s best that you contact the Booking Channel directly as RoomRaccoon will not be able to assist with this.

Channel manager errors may be seen when availability is not updated on your external channels. Below are some of the most common errors you would get. With these as an exception we still advise that you contact the Channel directly for booking channel errors.

Booking.com error

Room not active (RoomID: 12345601)

  • RoomRaccoon sends an update for all active rates. If a rate is no longer active (regardless of which one), please contact RoomRaccoon so we can update the mapping.

Rate is not active (RateID: 234567091, RoomID:12345601)

  • This means that the room type is still active, but the prices have been removed. Please contact RoomRaccoon so we can help you reactivate the rates.

Expedia Error

Inactive rate plan for restriction or rate updated.

  • RoomRaccoon forwards rates for all active rates. If a rate plan is no longer active, contact RoomRaccoon to return the active rates to the channel.

Net rate must be within the rate verification threshold.

  • This means that a price sent by RoomRaccoon is outside of the Expedia price range. In this case, please contact your Expedia Account Manager so that you can adjust the price limits.

Agoda Error

Cannot set full rate because the max occupancy is 2.

  • Log in to your Agoda extranet account and update the maximum number of people in each room type to match the number of people in RoomRaccoon.

Room (RoomID) does not exist for property (propertyID)

  • If that room type no longer exists, contact RoomRaccoon to update the mapping. If the category still exists, contact Agoda so that it can be reactivated.

Net rate must be within the rate min and max threshold.

  • This means that a price sent by RoomRaccoon is outside the Agoda price range. In this case, please contact your Agoda Account Manager so that you can adjust the price limits.
