RoomRaccoon automatically charges eligible Virtual Credit Cards, also known as VCCs, through Peach Payments once the card becomes active. This helps reduce manual work and supports timely payment collection.
How VCC autocharge works
The system checks eligible VCCs once per day and attempts the charge through Peach Payments.
A VCC is eligible for autocharge when the activation date has been reached, the VCC has not already been charged, and the VCC was not charged manually.
Where to view VCCs
Navigate to the Payments Module to view VCC activity, including the charge status, activation date, balance, OTA source, and charge date.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my VCC not charged automatically?
A VCC might not charge automatically if the activation date has not been reached, the balance is insufficient, the card was already charged manually, the payment provider declined the transaction, or the VCC is outside the retry window.
If the VCC fails to charge, check the VCC details directly on the booking channel or OTA to confirm the card details, activation date, expiry date, and balance are correct.
What happens if I charge the VCC manually first?
If the VCC is charged manually before the automatic process runs, RoomRaccoon skips the autocharge attempt to prevent a duplicate charge.
How many times does RoomRaccoon retry a failed charge?
RoomRaccoon retries failed autocharges once per day for up to 3 days after the activation date.
