Updating Rates
Should I update my rates in the Channel Manager or in My Property?
Use the Channel Manager to adjust rates for specific periods (e.g. seasonal pricing).
Use My Property to change your base rate permanently.
Important:
Changes in My Property automatically update in the Channel Manager and sync to all booking channels, unless the rate has already been manually overwritten in the Channel Manager.
Updates made in Rates & Availability are temporary modifications and do not affect your base rate in the property setup page.
How do I know if a rate plan has been overwritten?
Overwritten rate plans in the Channel Manager are shown in black, underlined text instead of grey.
How far in advance can I set rates?
You can set rates for any future date, but updates can only be applied one year at a time due to system and channel restrictions.
Good to know:
RoomRaccoon automatically updates your rates and availability every night, sending data for exactly one year ahead to ensure your channels stay current.

How do I manage rates for a specific category or rate plan?

What does the link icon mean next to my rate plans?
The link icon indicates that the rate plan is connected to external booking channels.
Seasonal Pricing
How do I set seasonal pricing (e.g. summer or holidays)?
Use the calendar to create date ranges.
Edit price periods and apply custom labels for clarity.
Copy and adjust rate types to suit different seasons.
Dynamic Pricing
What does “Overridable by dynamic pricing” mean?
Click the box twice (Yes) if you want rates to be adjusted by dynamic pricing rules.
Click the box once (No) if you do not want your rates overridden by rules.
Rate Change Tracking
How can I see why a rate has changed?
Click Show Rate History at the top left of your screen. Hover over the rate to view:
When it was changed
How it was changed
Which rule or action triggered the update
How do I make sure changes are reflected on my channels?
Sync your changes through the Channel Manager.
Updates are usually reflected quickly but may vary depending on the channel.
If changes do not appear, check sync status and rate plan connections.
