How to Connect to TripAdvisor

TripAdvisor is the world's largest travel site. The powerful booking channel enables properties worldwide to widen their reach, improve their ranking and increase their positive reviews to boost their bookings. 

We use your company's information in your account settings to connect you to TripAdvisor, so make sure that the information is correctly setup before connecting:

• Company name

• Address including city, country, and the postal code

• Website URL

RoomRaccoon can send you rates and availability to TripAdvisor. However, the connection is slightly different from a regular connection as it requires setting up a cancellation policy in RoomRaccoon.

How to initiate the connection:

Step 1: Sign up to TripAdvisor and initiate the connection. Please note that before signing up, you need to be able to meet TripAdvisor's minimum requirements, which include the following: 

• High ratings

• The minimum acceptance rate of 80%

• Minimum 3 bookings per year

• Less than 20% cancellations.

Step 2: Submit a ticket to Customer Support.

Step 3: Customer Support will inform you when they've added the connection and ask you to add the cancellation policy to the rates you would like to connect.

Note: You can only add the cancellation policy to the rates you'd like to connect once Customer support connects you to TripAdvisor. 

How to add the cancellation policy? 

Step 1: Click on your My Property module on the left screen. 

Step 2: Open the rate you want to connect to TripAdvisor.

Step 3: Scroll down until you see the cancellation policy details.

Step 4: Inform customer support that you've added the cancellation policy.

Step 5: We check that everything is in order, and if so, the connection is completed!

Good to know

• You must add the cancellation policy. Otherwise, the rate will not communicate with the channel. Please note that we only require you to add the cancellation policy for the rates that will be mapped. The policy does NOT need to be filled in for all rate plans in the account.

• There is no added cost to connecting with Booking channels on RoomRaccoon.
