How to Add or Delete Add-Ons in the Booking Engine

What is an add-on?


When your guests are staying with you, they are often looking for little extras that can make their stay in your hotel, apartment or B&B a little bit more special than just a place to sleep. For example the possibility to rent bikes, take their pets with them or book a nice 4 course dinner. All these add-ons as they are called can be made bookable in your Property Management System (PMS). You can find the option ‘Add-ons’ under ‘Room types’.


How do you use the Add-on function?


  1. Click on the My Property module and navigate to the Categories tab.



  1. Click on Manage Room Type under the room category of your choice and click on the Add-Ons button on the left of your screen. 



  1. Here you can assign the Add-ons of your choice to your room category. Click Save when you are done. 




This way, you can pick and choose which add-ons are available for each room category. For example you can make late check-out possible for your suite but not for your standard room.


How to make your Add-on available in your Booking Engine


  1. Click on the My Property module and navigate to the Add-ons tab.



  1. Select the Add-on you would like to make visible on your Booking Engine.



  1. On the right side of your screen you will have various options including the option to make the Add-on visible in the Booking Engine. Tick on the Visibile on Booking Engine box. 



What are the benefits of Add-ons?


Adding Add-ons to your roomtypes makes sure that these add-ons are immediately bookable in your Booking Engine. This way, your guests can book these add-ons straight away when they book a room in your hotel, apartment or B&B.


When a booking is made and the Add-ons are chosen during the guests’ stay with you.  The Add-ons will be visible on the invoice which is very convenient for yourself, your guests and your accountant. This way you can immediately see which Add-ons are booked often and which are a little less popular.


How To Delete An Add-On In Your Booking Engine?


  1. Click on the My Property module and navigate to the Add-ons tab.



  1. Select the Add-on you want to delete in your Booking Engine



  1. Uncheck the 'Visible in the Booking Engine' box and click on Save and your unchecked Add-on will no longer be visible in the Booking Engine.
