Payment Preferences - Onboarding

This is to set up how you would like payments preferences and projections as well as uploading proof of bank statements. 


  • Daily - You will receive payments during the weekdays (not on the weekends). When there is a bank holiday, for example King’s Day on the 29th of April,  you can expect the payment on the next weekday.


  • Weekly - You will receive payment from the 1st, 8th, 15th or the 22nd. If this day falls on a weekend or bank holiday it will be paid out on the next available weekday.


  • Monthly - You will receive payment every month on the 1st however if the 1st falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you will receive payment on the next weekday.


You can choose whether or not you want to accept credit card guarantees or you want to accept prepayments. Check the box which you prefer in this section.


Active domestic payments


RoomRaccoon saves booker details and so when they pay, the following payment methods will pop up depending on their residential address. Alternatively, it is possible to enable all payment methods by default for the benefit of having all payment methods available during checkout.


  • Giropay - This is linked for German clients

  • Bancontact - This is linked for Belgian clients

  • IDEAL - This is linked for Swiss clients 


Proof of bank statement


Enter the bank account owner’s name, country, account number and currency. In this section you will need to attach a bank statement which is no older than 6 months.




How to upload your proof of bank statements.


  1. Click “Browse”




  1. Choose the document from your files (you can save this on downloads) and click open.


  1. You’ll see an attachment at the bottom with your file name to let you know it has been attached 



Good to know


  • IDEAL and Bancontact are always implemented in the compliance process of our payment service provider by default however Giropay has to be activated as an additional payment option as such it should be requested.


  • Bank Statement details are not kept on the RoomRaccoon database and are only used for verification and compliance purposes.


  • Ensure that you have chosen the correct currency as payments will not process if they have been set in another currency.
