RaccoonPay Improvements

Within this release, RaccoonPay made a lot of improvements to create a better guest experience but also a more detailed overview of everything you want to see from a payout perspective.

Here is an overview of the most important updates:

Detailed payout overview

  • Payouts now include the exact fees next to every specific payment.

  • So for every currency, RoomRaccoon is now able to detect the exact fee per payment method.

  • Is there a Virtual Credit Card included in one of your payouts? We let you know that this might be a card that will be on a higher tier.

Payments & Refunds

We have divided these payments into two sections. Within the payments that are included in the payouts, it’s not necessary to search for refunds anymore. Next to the refunds, RaccoonPay now also shows the transaction cost of the refund, you will also receive the paid commission of this initial payment back.

Online check-in payments

When you want to ask the booker to do a prepayment within the online check-in, RaccoonPay takes care of it. It doesn’t matter which payment method they would like to pay with, simply enable the ‘enable all payment methods by default’ box in the payment methods section and let the guest pay before they arrive.

On top of that, RaccoonPay also makes sure that no one can avoid this prepayment if you install it.

Good To Know!

  • The RaccoonPay onboarding is created in the new RoomRaccoon style. Have a look and see how user-friendly our new layout is!

  • 3D Secure V2.0 payments

  • RaccoonPay is compliant with the new rules of the EU with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). With the new version of 3D Secure, RaccoonPay is able to do better risk assessments in order to avoid problems with online payments and their credit cards. Every account is automatically switched to this new way of 3D Secure payments, where the hotelier and the guest will see no difference to what they did before.
