How to Connect to Nuki Smart Lock

Modified on Thu, 8 Jun, 2023 at 10:45 AM

Nuki Smart Lock is a new room key connection in the RoomRaccoon Marketplace that eliminates the need for you to deal with time-consuming key handovers. It is safe, will save you time and money because you no longer have to replace lost keys, and can efficiently offer your guests contactless self-check-in.

How does the Nuki Connection work?

Nuki Smart Lock sends guests a key code to their smartphones after completing the online check-in or when they physically check in at your property. You can choose which option you prefer or use both options. Then guests can use that key code to access their rooms.

What do you need to initiate the connection?

You must provide the RoomRaccoon Support team with your Nuki API key so they can initiate the connection for you.

Where to access your Nuki API

  1. You can access your API token in your Nuki Web App:

Good to know:

  • The reservation requires basic booker details for the key code to be generated. These details include the name, surname, and email address.

  • The key code will only be valid on the check-in date and time ( if specified). If no time has been specified, it will become valid at 14h00 on the day of check-in.

  • The room key will deactivate and be removed from the reservation once the status of the reservation has been changed to 'checked-out.'
