RaccoonVault is an integral component of RoomRaccoon's security infrastructure, designed for client who do not have an integrated payment service provider, to safeguard encrypted credit card information. It ensures that sensitive card details remain invisible, with only the last four digits of the card being accessible for viewing.
How RaccoonVault Works
The primary function of the Vault is to securely store credit card details, which become visible only upon the entry of your RoomRaccoon master password. This mechanism guarantees that the information is securely preserved yet readily accessible when you need to manually process a charge on the card.
RaccoonVault employs advanced encryption techniques to protect the data until the correct password is entered. This feature allows you to securely add credit card details directly to a booker's profile, ensuring that sensitive information is handled with the highest level of security.
Important Considerations
Exclusive Availability: RaccoonVault is exclusively available for RoomRaccoon accounts that are unable to connect to a Payment Service Provider (PSP), providing a secure alternative for managing credit card information.
Password-Linked Encryption: For security and compliance reasons, the encryption of credit card information is linked to the master password set at the time of capturing the card details. To access and charge the cards, it is necessary to enter the password used at the time the details were captured.
