Why Is My Property Closed on Booking.com?

Modified on Mon, 14 Nov, 2022 at 10:59 AM

It is important to note that even though a connection has been established between the channel manager and Booking.com, it’s still possible for the property to still be closed.

This is usually attributed to 3 things

  1. Ensure that you have filled in the “know your customer” (KYC) form.

  1. Set the property live on Booking.com.

  1.  If you haven’t been able to verify your address your property may remain closed.

If your property is closed you will need to login to your Booking.com account and access the home page. In most cases you will be notified on the homepage as to what is causing your property to be unbookable.

Other common reasons for property closure on Booking.com include

  • Adding new rates and availability - If there are no prices and dates on the system, customers won’t be able to see your property on the website. You can check these details in the extranet’s ‘Rates & Availability’ tab. For more info, read Booking.com step-by-step visual guide for updating your availability here.

  • If you can’t see your property in Booking.com search results, check your minimum length of stay restrictions and then try searching again.

  • Adding photos to your page - Add photos to your page because your property cannot be shown without good images.

  • Outstanding Payments - Make sure you don’t have any outstanding invoices from Booking.com. This information can be found under the ‘Finance’ tab.

If your property is still not bookable or visible after you’ve checked this information, Contact booking.com support.
